Senior Manager/Director of Developer Marketing (Remote)

Preferable Location: San Francisco, New York   |   Full Time

Internal is building the platform for internal tools that provides a faster, easier and more collaborative way to build powerful internal tools on top of databases, APIs and business applications. 

 

The average developer spends over 25% of their day building, updating, and maintaining internal tools like admin panels, dashboards, and support tools. That's a lot of time. Internal gives developers that time back so they can focus on what matters most: building the innovative features and products that move their business forward.


We are a rapidly-growing Series A startup and we are building a team of ambitious and creative people looking to build a powerful and innovative system. 


The Role


As a Senior Developer Marketing Manager/Director of Developer Marketing, you’ll have the opportunity to build and scale our developer marketing strategy through new and existing channels, including developer communities, events, earned media, paid media, email, etc. 

Your ultimate goal will be to drive quality signups, product engagement, and trial-to-paid conversion. Content will be a key focus and you’ll rely on your expertise to create technical blog posts, videos, demos, conference talks and more.


What You'll Do


  • Own developer marketing programs from strategy to execution with the goal of driving signups, engagement, and trial-to-paid conversion. 
  • Clearly articulate Internal’s differentiators and position Internal as the category leader.
  • Drive developer content strategy to educate, inspire, and equip technical audiences with tools and techniques that help them with internal tools.
  • Collaborate with guest authors, customers and content partners to create content. 
  • Create demos and technical content owning everything from production, publishing, and social distribution
  • Help identify speaking opportunities and conference sponsorships, hackathons, and other opportunities to reach more developers with content  
  • Own the measurement and reporting of program results.


What We're Looking For


  • 10+ years of marketing experience, with at least 3 years focused on Developer marketing
  • Deep understanding of what makes developers tick. 
  • Strong understanding of technical concepts to drive out use cases that inspire developers and create content that conveys the value of our product and educates developers about our product/ecosystem (SQL, Firebase, Snowflake, MongoDB, APIs, etc.)
  • Experience building apps and APIs a strong plus. 
  • Proactive self-starter with high autonomy and ability to manage multiple complex projects simultaneously.
  • Creative, nimble, and able to work in a dynamic environment.
